The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco

Data Science and Analytics (DSA) is the global team of Data Scientists and Analysts. As a Data Science Intern in DSA, you will drive performance improvement and cost efficiency in our product through a deep understanding of the ML and infra system, and provide a data‐driven insight and scientific solution.

Some examples of past intern projects are:

  • Work on and improve various components of our ad-tech stack including ranking, retrieval, auction/bidding and budget pacing.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies: analyze a large dataset with queries and scripts, extract valuable signals out of noise, and produce actionable insights into how we could optimize Moloco’s complex bidding system.
  • Design and deploy advanced optimization approaches to improve our ad-delivery: identifying the best ranking, retrieval and bidding strategies that strike the right balance between ROI and revenue trade-offs.
  • Validating and quantifying the efficiency and performance gain from hypotheses through rigorous simulation and modeling.
  • Developing a robust experiment design and metric framework, and providing reliable and unbiased insights for product and business decision making.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest researches and developments in experimentation and causal inference, and identify opportunities of applying these techniques to business challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Able and willing to work from our Menlo Park, CA. office or Seattle, WA office.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40-hours per week) for 12-weeks during the summer of 2026 (May‐September).
  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD program in a technical or quantitative discipline during the internship.
  • Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree must be graduating and obtaining the degree by June of 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while paying attention to detail and translate analysis results into business recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently, owning projects end-to-end, solving problems without much guidance.
Our Compensation and Benefits (for United States Residents Only)

In accordance with various state laws, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.

Base Pay Range: $8,600 — $10,400 USD
