Job Summary:
CACI International Inc is focused on delivering geospatial data infrastructure and analytical capabilities for intelligence decisions. As a Senior Geospatial Data Engineer, you will lead the development of geospatial data pipelines and visualization tools, working closely with NGA mission users to enhance their interaction with geospatial data.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and deliver end-to-end geospatial data pipelines from ingest through analyst-facing visualization, leveraging GDAL/OGR-based transformation and processing across diverse data formats
โ€ข Develop and maintain Python-based analytical environments via Jupyter Notebooks tailored to NGA mission user workflows
โ€ข Manage GeoParquet datasets within the program's data lake architecture; implement and extend columnar format pipelines for production use
โ€ข Administer ArcGIS Server services and portal configurations; integrate with the FOSS4G toolchain including QGIS, GeoServer, and MapServer
โ€ข Collaborate with the AGIS Search team on spatial data indexing and AI-assisted retrieval integration
โ€ข Lead technical refinement sessions and provide PI Planning input on data engineering epics and cross-team dependencies
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Active TS/SCI clearance
โ€ข 8+ years of software or data engineering experience, with at least 5 years in geospatial domains
โ€ข Proficiency in the Python geospatial stack: GDAL, Fiona, Shapely, GeoPandas, Rasterio
โ€ข Strong Jupyter Notebook development experience for analytical and mission workflows
โ€ข Working knowledge of the FOSS4G ecosystem (QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer, GRASS)
โ€ข GeoParquet/columnar format experience in production environments
โ€ข ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Enterprise administration
โ€ข B.S. in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field (equivalent experience accepted)
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with OGC service standards (WMS, WFS, WCS)
โ€ข Experience operating within SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks
โ€ข CI Poly clearance
