Retail Channel Optimization Geospatial Data Analyst
Job Description
The Retail Channel Optimization Geospatial Data Analyst provides specialized location intelligence and advanced analytics to support Retail Banking Administration & Distribution, REDI strategic planning, branch strategy, ATM/ITM network planning, de novo market selection, and broader organizational priorities. This role combines geospatial analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, automation, and visualization to identify opportunities and risks that may not be visible through conventional analysis.
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently source, validate, maintain, and integrate complex datasets to accelerate project delivery and reduce reliance on IT resources.
  • Perform advanced geospatial, customer, market, competitive, and financial analysis to support revenue growth and retail channel optimization.
  • Develop scalable analytical frameworks, automated workflows, dashboards, and visualizations that translate complex information into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Provide location intelligence for branch strategy, ATM/ITM network planning, de novo market selection, and other high-priority Retail Banking Administration & Distribution initiatives.
  • Own and manage key analytical platforms and vendor relationships, including Placer.ai, Esri, ArcGIS, Python, and SQL.
  • Serve as the organizations specialized geospatial analytics resource and partner across multiple lines of business.

Role Profile
This is a specialized, independent-contributor position responsible for a critical organizational capability. The successful candidate will apply a full-stack analytics skill set across data acquisition, data engineering, advanced analysis, automation, and visualization. The position requires the judgment and technical depth to manage complex work with limited oversight and to communicate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Required Capabilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in geospatial analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, and location strategy.
  • Proficiency with Placer.ai, Esri, ArcGIS, Python, and SQL, or comparable tools and platforms.
  • Ability to independently acquire, validate, maintain, and analyze complex datasets.
  • Experience translating market, customer, competitive, and financial data into recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of retail banking distribution, financial modeling, branch strategy, or network planning is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage specialized vendor platforms and build scalable analytical processes.
