We are seeking a GIS Data Analyst to support market expansion and network growth initiatives through advanced geospatial research and data-driven market analysis. This role will focus on identifying expansion opportunities, optimizing network planning decisions, and delivering actionable insights by integrating geospatial data, Python-based analytics, and SQL-driven data extraction.

Conduct geospatial analysis to support market expansion, site selection, and network growth strategies

Develop and maintain spatial models to assess market potential, competitive coverage, demand density, and network gaps

Analyze demographic, infrastructure, commercial, and geographic datasets to inform expansion prioritization

Design and automate analytical workflows using Python for geospatial processing, modeling, and visualization

Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL from enterprise databases and data warehouses

Create maps, dashboards, and analytical reports that clearly communicate insights to business and planning stakeholders

Partner with strategy, engineering, finance, and market planning teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations

Support ad-hoc research requests related to new markets, network upgrades, and long-term expansion planning

Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and reproducibility of analytical methodologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Geography, GIS, Data Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field

3-5+ years of experience in GIS analysis, geospatial research, or spatial data analytics

Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as GeoPandas, Pandas, Shapely, or similar

Solid SQL skills for querying and analyzing large relational datasets

Hands-on experience with GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS)

Experience working with spatial datasets such as demographic data, boundaries, road networks, coverage maps, or infrastructure layers

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
