• OnRamps graduate student employee pay is $14.00 hourly. With professional development completion, graduate student employee pay is $14.50 hourly. New OnRamps undergraduate student employee pay is $12.00 hourly. Returning OnRamps undergraduate student employee pay is $13.00 hourly. Returning 2 years or more OnRamps undergraduate student employee pay is $14.00 hourly. Professional development completion + Returning 2 years or more undergraduate student employee pay is $14.50.

The Geoscience Course Grader supports the OnRamps Geoscience Earth, Wind, and Fire course (GEO 302E). The Course Grader works in close collaboration with the Geoscience Course Manager and the Geoscience grader mentor to assist with timely and accurate grading student assessments, provides feedback for assessments in Canvas and attends calibrations and training to align with Course requirements. The Course Support employee also provides just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects.

• Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.

• Provides feedback on course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.

• Attends calibration meetings and participate in training to align feedback and deepen transferrable skills.

• Assists with seasonal and urgent projects that align to the OnRamps mission.

• Current undergraduate or graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Geoscience or closely related major with at least 2 semesters of Geoscience courses.

• Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Experience with Canvas LMS.

• Recommendation from at least one professional or academic reference

• Punctual, reliable, responsible, Self-motivated

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

• Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives

• Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Experience with Learning Catalytics, MS Outlook, and/or Smartsheet

• Recommendation from more than one professional or academic reference

Salary

$12.00 - $14.50 hourly

• May work around standard office conditions.
