Job description

Standard Job Description Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence program covering major aerospace and defense competitors, emerging entrants, suppliers, customers, and adjacent markets. Monitor competitor strategies, investments, M&A activity, organizational changes, product and technology roadmaps, contract awards, pricing dynamics, capital allocation, and business performance. Conduct market and competitor assessments in support of strategic planning, business development, portfolio decisions, and executive priorities.

Analyze publicly available information, industry publications, government and regulatory sources, company disclosures, customer announcements, conference materials, and other appropriate intelligence sources. Partner with strategy, business development, engineering, finance, product, government affairs, and leadership teams to identify critical intelligence requirements. Develop recurring intelligence products, including competitor profiles, market updates, executive briefings, early-warning indicators, and strategic assessments.

Identify emerging technologies, disruptive business models, geopolitical developments, and industry trends that could affect the competitive landscape. Build analytical frameworks and dashboards to track competitor performance, capabilities, program positions, and strategic moves. Support executive decision-making by synthesizing complex information into concise, defensible recommendations and points of view.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, liberal arts, engineering, or other related field Experience and familiarity with business strategy, project management, and financial analysis Data analysis and synthesis Excellent communication and organization skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Powerpoint Desired Skills Self-starter with ability to take initiative and collaborate with various stakeholders Familiarity with Aerospace and Defense or other related industry Familiarity with Competitive Intelligence Strong financial acumen and understanding and ability to analyze company financials, investor and other presentation materials Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $178500.00 - $331500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
