CULTIVATE A BETTER WORLD

Food served fast does not have to be a typical fast-food experience. Chipotle has always done things differently, both in and out of our restaurants. We are changing the face of fast food, starting conversations, and directly supporting efforts to shift the future of farming and food. We hope you will join us as we continue to learn, evolve, and shape what comes next on our mission to make better food accessible to everyone.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Manager, Procurement, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for grocery and beverage categories to support Chipotle's growth, profitability, and supply continuity objectives. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in a fast-paced environment. The Manager will contribute to category strategy development, lead cost optimization initiatives, and ensure reliable supply across assigned categories.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage procurement activities for assigned grocery and beverage categories with significant annual spend responsibility.
  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies that support supply continuity, cost optimization, innovation, and business growth.
  • Lead competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate supply continuity risks.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, financial health, and operational performance to support long-term sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence reviews, and cost modeling to identify savings and value creation opportunities.
  • Support inflation mitigation and productivity initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier collaboration.
  • Drive supplier diversification and risk mitigation efforts related to market dynamics, geopolitical events, tariffs, and other external factors.
  • Lead supplier business reviews, including performance measurement, scorecard management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support innovation, LTOs, new menu items, and commercialization efforts.
  • Manage sourcing projects from strategy development through implementation and performance tracking.
  • Communicate project status, financial impact, risks, and opportunities to leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance procurement effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and support the development of procurement team members and cross-functional partners as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and leading sourcing initiatives across complex categories.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes, including spend analysis, category management, negotiations, contracting, forecasting, and supplier performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies and deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support decision-making and negotiations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships across multiple business functions.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supply chain or procurement certifications (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferred.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $114,000.00–$160,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
