Job description

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a Geologist to support a short-term exploration and technical geology project for one of our mining industry clients in the Elko, Nevada area. This is an on-site, project-based opportunity ideal for geologists looking to apply their academic foundation and technical skills in an active mining environment.

Role Overview

The Geologist will support geological analysis, data collection, and technical documentation related to mineral exploration and project evaluation. This role involves working closely with technical teams to interpret geological data and contribute to project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support geological logging, sampling, and analysis activities

  • Interpret mineralogical and geological data related to exploration programs

  • Assist with data entry, validation, and management within geological databases

  • Collaborate with senior geologists and technical teams on geological interpretations

  • Contribute to project documentation and reporting

  • Follow all site safety procedures and field protocols

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geochemistry

  • Completion of an undergraduate mineralogy course with a laboratory component
