Job description

Weaver Consultants Group is seeking a self-motivated project manager who will thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. We are seeking a Project Manager with experience in managing the day-to-day environmental project tasks; which may include formulating project scopes of work and associated cost estimates and ensuring that each project is performed according to established objectives, standards, policies and procedures; implementing projects in conformance with the approved scope of work and budget; managing project administrative activities; and developing new and existing client relationships. The Project Manager will serve as a resource and supervise work performed by multiple field/staff personnel. The Project Manager will focus on delivering high quality technical services that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate field work to support groundwater and other media monitoring at multiple landfill sites
  • Manage and provide field oversight of monitoring well drilling and installations
  • Perform data interpretation and preparation of site workplans, spreadsheets, figures and technical reports
  • Conduct both internal and client-facing meetings related to project work
  • Manage and support multiple projects concurrently
  • Manage work to meet contract schedules, appropriate codes and regulations, regulatory compliance and/or enforcement and industry standard-of-care criteria
  • Provide input for and develop written technical reports for delivery to clients, perform quality control review, and maintain deliverable quality to meet internal and client requirements
  • Deliver outstanding service to clients, to the point that client’s sole source new work opportunities
  • Communicate project updates to management

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Geology with 5+ years of progressive professional experience in discipline
  • Professional Geologist (PG) registration required
  • Experience in the solid waste industry preferred
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team setting
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, as necessary
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to health and safety protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and completeness
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and an understanding of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office 365
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred

The position is salaried with bonus opportunity and the work hours are targeting 45-50 hours per week, working approximately 20-30% in the field. The position will require out-of-town travel at times. The successful candidate must demonstrate efficiency and competence to work well in teams and an independent environment.
