Position Title Adjunct Instructor, Biology, Biostatistics, Genomics Department 215110 - Biology and Integrated Science, Bus & Tech
Position Description/Posting Details
Posting Number A0186P Position Summary
La Salle University's Natural Sciences Department has need for a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach biostatistics and phage genomics courses for Biology majors. These courses are currently scheduled in-person and in the daytime.

Essential Duties
  • Teach assigned course(s).
  • Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives.
  • Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
  • Provide guidance and support to students.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree in a biology or related field.
  • For teaching biostatistics, proficiency in the R and R Studio software environments.
  • For teaching phage genomics, general comfort with using common genomics software tools.
  • Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching biology courses at the college-level.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
  • The job requires the ability to teach lecture sections in a computer lab.
  • The job requires movement around the classroom.
