Job description

Immediate Opening: 2 - Full-Time Medical Assistant II
Location: West Valley City / Fairbourne - Family Medicine Department
Granger Medical Clinic is seeking TWO dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant II to join our Family Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where patient care and teamwork are top priorities.
The Medical Assistant II will support physicians and clinical staff in providing high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing telephone triage and assisting with insurance authorizations
  • Recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
  • Administering immunizations and performing phlebotomy
  • Maintaining exam rooms and managing patient records

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Experience in Family Medicine preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office preferred
  • Strong customer service skills; able to communicate courteously and effectively with patients
  • Dependable, flexible, and capable of multitasking
  • Team player with a willingness to assist colleagues
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating professionally in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Essential Duties
  • Collect and record patient demographic and medical information; assist with prior authorizations for medications and procedures
  • Prepare patients for exams and provide physicians with relevant information (lab results, vital signs, medications, allergies)
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and address patient inquiries
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Perform repetitive motions associated with computer and office equipment use
  • Work in climate-controlled indoor settings
