Generator Service Technician

Our Generator Service Technicians manage the completion of whole-home generator troubleshooting & repair(s), perform regular interval maintenance, and suggest service upgrades. What Will I Do?

  • Perform service on whole-home, standby generator equipment (residential)
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter changes, coolant flushes, and battery checks, to ensure the optimal performance of generators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions, electrical and mechanical issues, and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and resolve generator issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime for clients
  • Collaborate with clients, dispatch, managers, and other team members to understand service requirements, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in generator maintenance and repair.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials.

Do I have What it Takes?

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional technical certifications or vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Generac (air-cooled) certification required.
  • Generac (liquid-cooled) certification highly preferred.
  • Working as a Generac Service Technician for at least 6+ months
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License that can withstand insurance review.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel.
  • Able to climb in and out of box trucks/vans easily, able to lift over 75 pounds and work in the summer heat
