Job description

D2B Groups is looking for a motivated Field Project Manager to oversee electrical and generator projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for managing field operations, coordinating with on-site teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will serve as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams to drive project success and maintain high standards of quality.

Responsibilities include developing project schedules, managing resources, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues that arise during project execution. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • What you'll be doing: 
    • Serve as the technical liaison, ensuring project integrity in terms of scope, installation, and commissioning.
    • Facilitate clear and timely communication between the sales team, aftermarket team, contractors, and end users.
    • Review, assess, and resolve submittal comments and technical design issues.
    • Track and manage milestone achievements within project schedules.
    • Provide project status updates and issue resolutions to Nixon management as required.
    • Collaborate with sales representatives, sales management, contractors, and application engineers to finalize BOM and customer delivery requirements.
    • Attend submittal review meetings, making necessary updates to documents and drawings.
    • Work with vendors to compile submittal documents and ensure timely completion by the submittal coordinator.
    • Coordinate communications among all stakeholders to meet milestone targets.
    • Attend and lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, submittal reviews, and site commissioning.
    • Ensure accurate installations and startup processes during site meetings.
    • Engage Nixon field service teams before shipping equipment to customers.
    • Schedule and lead site service kickoff meetings with field service teams before startup.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • What we're looking for: 
    • 2 or more years of technical experience with large power distribution systems, three phase UPS systems, switchgear, generators, or batteries.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time; As well as unplanned travel, as needed.
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, project management, or a related field preferred. 
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
    • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Strong ability to lead, persuade, motivate, and influence others.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
