Locums - Sierra Vista, Arizona General Surgery Opportunity (IMLC Welcome)

Clinical Role

Join an established hospital in Sierra Vista, Arizona, providing general surgery call coverage during the holiday season. This locums opportunity offers in-house call coverage for assigned and unassigned patients within a collaborative, Stroke Certified, Level III Trauma Center. Providers holding an active Arizona license or those eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) are encouraged to apply.

Assignment Details

Coverage Dates:

  • November 26, 2026 (7:00 AM) - November 30, 2026 (7:00 AM)
  • December 22, 2026 (7:00 AM) - January 4, 2027 (7:00 AM)

24-hour in-house call coverage

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive general surgery call coverage
  • Evaluate and manage assigned and unassigned surgical patients
  • Perform emergency general surgery procedures as needed
  • Complete hospital admissions
  • Respond within 30 minutes when required
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine, anesthesia, and hospital staff
  • Document patient care using Cerner EMR
