Job description

Responsible for scheduling and coordinating all aspects of patient surgeries for high volume physician practice. Also responsible for creating and submitting surgical encounters in Soarian for billing. Obtains and verifies all patient demographics and insurance information. Obtains authorization for surgery and works directly with surgeons to ensure procedure and diagnosis codes are accurate for billing. Works closely with supporting departments to ensure surgeries are scheduled and coded properly. Practices Baptist Health's mission of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to our patients and physicians.Estimated pay range for this position is $18.87 - $23.96 / hour depending on experience.Degrees:
  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of Healthcare experience required.
  • Surgery experience preferred.
  • Must be a professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be highly organized and have ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with surgeons, patients, operational and clinical leadership, as well as facility and BHSF support departments.
  • Proficient in EMR, computer applications and scheduling systems (Cerner, Soarian, etc.
  • ).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
