What is general stamping?

General stamping jobs involve operating machines that shape or cut metal and other materials into specific forms using dies and presses. Workers in this field set up, monitor, and maintain stamping equipment to produce parts for industries like automotive, appliances, and electronics. They are also responsible for inspecting finished products for quality and ensuring safe, efficient production processes. Experience with machinery and attention to detail are important skills for these positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a general stamping operator?

To thrive as a General Stamping Operator, you need mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with some employers preferring prior manufacturing experience. Familiarity with stamping presses, measuring tools, and safety protocols such as OSHA guidelines is typically required. General Manager — The Kitchenworks of Fort Wayne

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Ready to put your leadership stamp on one of Fort Wayne’s premier destinations for luxury kitchens? The Kitchenworks of Fort Wayne is looking for a General Manager who can bring sharp business instincts, confident sales leadership, and disciplined operations together to spark our next chapter of growth. This is a hands-on opportunity to own the vision, energize the team, elevate the customer experience, and help take a respected local brand to the next level.

In this role, you won’t just manage the business—you will shape it. You will own the P&L, drive sales momentum, set the pace for a small but talented team, and build a smart, profitable path forward in a competitive market. With real autonomy, clear financial targets, and the full support of an established brand behind you, you’ll have the runway to make meaningful decisions and measurable impact.

About Us

The Kitchenworks is a 36-year, award-winning, family-owned design build firm and the region’s destination for high-end custom kitchens. Backed by our parent company, Revive Home Brands, our 4,000 sq. ft. downtown Fort Wayne showroom features two divisions: custom cabinetry design and premium appliance sales (Sub-Zero, Wolf, Miele, and more). Our team is driven to bring value and beauty to the spaces that matter most.

Our core values—Humility First, Serve People, Own It, and Eternal Focus—are central to our culture and hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

·       Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small team across design and appliance sales.

·       Operations Management: Ensure a seamless workflow from sale to installation. Oversee showroom presentation, inventory discipline, vendor relationships, order pipeline, and delivery/install coordination. Manage communication with referral partners, clients, and internal team members to keep opportunities moving forward.

·       Client Experience: Protect and enhance our established reputation through smooth project execution and white glove service. Use your design/build, construction, or remodeling experience to understand project needs and recommend the right solutions.

Qualifications

·       Proven P&L Leadership - Experience running a location, branch, store, or business unit with real revenue responsibility.

·       Ability to discuss specific financial results.

·       Proven experience building or enforcing a sales process and holding a team to activity standards

·       Strong relationship-building, follow-through, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

·      A minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in a showroom setting.

·      Ideal candidates will have experience in construction, remodeling, cabinetry, design/build, or project management.

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

Why Join Us?

If you are energized by well-defined and transparent expectations – and want a role that provides you ownership and autonomy, we want to learn more about you! You will be supported by a clearly defined plan with compensation tied directly to results. You will also benefit from an established brand, a premier downtown showroom, exclusive premium product lines, and support from a multi-location parent company in areas such as HR, Marketing, and Finance.

Compensation & Benefits
