Job description

Job Requirements

Position Summary

The RTR Clinical Coordinator, under the guidance of the Practice Manager, will carry out responsibilities which ensure high, quality, well-coordinated patient care in the clinic according to SRHS and MGC's policies and mission. Acts as a clinical and administrative resource for clinical personnel. The RTR Clinical Coordinator has delegated authority to support, advice, and direct overall management of clinical practice. Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, development, and treatment needs of patients, families, and visitors. Serves as a clinical resource, participates in patient and staff education, demonstrates leadership, and serves as a preceptor. The RTR Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for performing general radiographic procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The Radiologic Technologist will ensure practice compliance with all SC DHEC Title B Rules and Regulations for Radiation Control. 

Minimum Requirements

Education           

        Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Experience        

        3 years of healthcare experience

 

License/Registration/Certifications       

        Registered by ARRT as an RT ( R )

        SCRQSA Certification

 

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education      

        Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

 Preferred Experience   

        Orthopedic experience

 

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications   

        N/A

Core Job Responsibilities

        Oversight of clinical staff, to include scheduling and coaching per SRHS and MGC policies.

        Maintains a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique.

        Must possess, apply, and maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety.

        Responsible for ensuring proper maintenance of imaging equipment. Assist with patient triage and phone triage.

        Assist providers with exams and procedures.

        Works with the Practice Manager to handle patient, employee, physician complaints/grievances according to the SRHS/MGC policies.

        Assist in the orientation of new clinical staff.

        Identify learning needs of staff and coordinate in-service/continuing education requirements.

        Performs annual staff competencies.

        Works with the IT department to resolve any IT issues.

        Ensures all clinical staff licensures and certifications re up-to-date and reports this information to the appropriate departments.

        Must have strong knowledge of organizations dynamics and have excellent communication/coaching skills.

        Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, the public, and other agencies.

        Must be able to respond calmly and efficiently in crisis situations.

        Effective verbal and written communication skills based.

        Must be able to perform the following functions: standing for long hours, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, pushing, pulling, and squatting.

        Other duties as assigned
