Job description

X-Ray / CT Technologist – Evening Shift | Glenwood Springs, CO

Position Overview

The X-Ray / CT Technologist delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a hospital setting, working across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical areas. This role requires strong technical skills, independence, and the ability to perform a broad range of exams while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.​

Location & Schedule
  • Location: Glenwood Springs, CO

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

  • Call: No call requirements

  • Holiday coverage: Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and surgical patients.

  • Complete fluoroscopy, OR, orthopedic, and general radiography exams in accordance with protocols.

  • Support imaging needs for oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and multiple outpatient clinics.

  • Ensure correct patient positioning, radiation protection, and optimal image quality.

  • Operate imaging equipment safely and in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.

  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in the Meditech EMR.

  • Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control practices at all times.​

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required.

  • Active state radiologic technologist license (as applicable).

  • Current BLS (AHA) required.

  • Minimum 1 year of combined X-ray and CT experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform fluoroscopy and work in OR settings.

  • Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.​

Additional Requirements
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions).

  • Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.

  • Submission package must include: resume, skills checklist, AHA BLS, ARRT (R) & (CT) certificates, and proof of flu vaccine.

  • Pay range: $60–$65 per hour (contract/traveler role).
