YOUR ROLE AS A MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE:
As a Maintenance Associate, you're the "go-to" when it comes to keeping our facilities and equipment in safe working order. You will perform a variety of technical maintenance and service functions on equipment, systems and facilities in our distribution center. In this role, you will also spearhead equipment moves and new equipment installations.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Show Passion, Innovation, and Teamwork through a focus on People and Integrity - AEO's core values! 
  • Render preventative maintenance on the conveyor systems equipment 
  • Complete diagnosis and repairs on conveyor system equipment 
  • Complete diagnosis and repairs on the lift equipment fleet 
  • Complete electrical diagnosis and repair (where applicable) 
  • Provide facility maintenance and repair 
  • Perform general construction as required 
  • Maintain good maintenance records 
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment 
  • Demonstrate good communication practices, including verbal, written and computer skills 
  • Ability to perform the Maintenance Helper function such as general facilities duties 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Vocational technical school certificate preferred
  • 2 years of previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Distribution Centre conveyor minor and major repairs preferred
  • Mechanical trade experience preferred
  • Programmable Logic Controller experience a plus
  • MP2 maintenance software a plus
  • Ability to work and frequently move throughout platform areas up to 45 feet above ground level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaboratively work in a group and independently 
  • Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and work record
  • Must be 18 or older

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for up to 10 hours at a time
  • Stand for long periods of time and walk continuously 
  • Pull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as needed
  • Climb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feet
  • Lift and carry up to 50lbs. Specific weight requirements may vary within each department
