Lloydminster Toyota

Job description

GENERAL MANAGER / FUTURE PARTNER

Lloydminster Toyota | Lloydminster, Alberta

Lloydminster Toyota and UF3 Auto Group are looking for an accomplished automotive operator to lead the dealership through its next chapter.

For the right person, this is more than a GM position. It includes strong executive compensation and a genuine, structured pathway toward an ownership stake in Lloydminster Toyota.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF DEALER GROUP

UF3 is a family-owned and operated automotive group with roots in Alberta and Saskatchewan going back 75 years.

Good dealerships are run by strong local operators - not by a corporate office.

If you've experienced layers of approvals, decisions made far from your store, or accountability without authority, you know why that matters. Our GMs have meaningful autonomy. We provide support and resources, and we expect results.

Autonomy and accountability go together.

Partnership is part of our history. Several UF3 dealerships are operated by GMs who are also partners, with some of those relationships lasting decades. We are looking to build another one.

THE TOYOTA OPPORTUNITY

It's Toyota - one of the strongest franchises in the automotive business.

Lloydminster Toyota is an established dealership with an experienced team and loyal customer base, serving a substantial regional market across eastern Alberta and western Saskatchewan.

Toyota's strength in trucks, SUVs, passenger vehicles and electrified products is particularly well suited to a regional economy driven by energy, agriculture, construction, transportation and service industries.

There's a good business here. We believe there's an even better one to build.

THE PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

For the right candidate, there is a structured pathway from General Manager to General Manager/Partner.

Candidates with the capital and desire to invest may also have an opportunity to participate directly in ownership.

  • Highly competitive executive compensation
  • Performance-based earnings and transition guarantee
  • Demonstrator and benefits
  • Structured dealership ownership opportunity
  • Relocation assistance

Full compensation and partnership details will be discussed confidentially.

OUR PEOPLE ARE EVERYTHING

Lloydminster Toyota has an established team, and the next GM will be entrusted with those people.

We want a leader who sets high standards, holds people accountable, develops people and genuinely cares about their success. If your first instinct is to replace everyone and start over, this probably is not for you.

We want someone who can make a good team better.

YOU HAVE TO LIVE HERE

The successful candidate must relocate to and reside in the Lloydminster area.

This is not a remote, fly-in/fly-out or long-distance commuting position. If you are going to lead the dealership - and potentially own part of it - we believe you need to be part of the community.

Lloydminster offers attainable housing, short commutes, strong community, recreation, schools and the day-to-day amenities of a major regional centre. Its economy is anchored by energy, agriculture and regional business.

Meaningful relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

If you're the person we're looking for, you already know what the GM job involves.

  • 3+ years of relevant senior dealership leadership experience
  • Demonstrated financial and operational performance
  • Strong knowledge of variable and fixed operations
  • A track record of developing and retaining good people
  • Strong references and a record of integrity

A willingness to make Lloydminster home

Previous GM experience, Toyota/OEM experience, NADA Academy or Automotive Business School of Canada education are assets. This is not intended as a first GM opportunity without substantial dealership leadership experience.

Appropriate driving-record, criminal-record and credit checks will be required.
