We are looking for a purpose-driven General Manager to join our team and become an ultimate ambassador of our brand. In this role, you will be charged with creating a highly productive environment focusing on building a motivated team, ensuring an extraordinary guest experience, and balancing other corporate priorities, focusing on strategic, operational, and leadership excellence. As the role will evolve over time, the successful candidate will show curiosity in the business, demonstrate willingness to take on new challenges, and lift our team by developing additional skills to assist and support our purpose.

Our ideal candidate will manage both locations in Maynard and Marlborough.

The Store Manager is responsible for all operations of the Smoothie King, including the following:

  • Create a positive, inclusive environment with a strong customer service focus.
  • Enthusiastically hire, develop, and lead the team at your stores to provide a great guest experience and fulfill our mission to inspire people to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Use operational tools such as Daily Business Review, Cash & Deposit Log, and Crunchtime scheduling and inventory management tools to achieve operational excellence.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers (inventory management, shipments, etc.)
  • Review store environment and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and adjust accordingly.
  • Manage cash activities for the store (daily deposits, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines in your store at all times; ensure all Team Members are in compliance as well.
  • Own and promote brand standards in alignment with company vision.
  • Ensure store appearance and cleanliness are upheld and consistent with Smoothie King brand standards.
  • Drive implementation of company programs through action planning and inspiring team to meet operational standards.
  • Develop local store marketing plans to support brand initiatives, including initiating community outreach through marketing and special events.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing tools and programs as well as finding new, creative and effective methods of recognition.
  • Set the tone for an amazing, upbeat working environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required. Associate or bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or similar field is preferred.
  • 2+ years management experience - quick serve restaurant or retail preferred.
  • Open availability.
  • Expected to stand approximately 8 hours per day, lift products of <55lbs in weight, stoop and bend.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Knowledgeable of general POS functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback.
  • ServSafe certified.
  • Employee must be able to tolerate exposure to food allergens.
