Job description

JOBSUMMARY:

The Store Manageris responsible forplayinga critical role in providing support to merchandising, operational and human resources functions for an individual store to achieve or exceed planned sales and profits. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual who will remain highly engagedwith customers,demonstrateintegrity, effective communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic retail setting.The Store Manager will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring,counselingand termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes.
  • Maintains financial controls includingshrink,payrolland other operating expenses.
  • Maintaining proper inventory controls,facilitateinventory transactions andmaintaincompliance standards for shrink control
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service.
  • Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
  • Ensuring adherence of staff members to all Citi Trends, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability toworka flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • This position requires travel as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager.
  • 5-7 years of retail experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • StoreManagersare scheduled to work45 hoursper week and must be able to perform the essential physical functions listed below with or without accommodation.
