Description

Job Purpose: The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) at Costellos Ace is responsible for learning and executing the essential duties of a store manager. This position is designed to prepare individuals to effectively manage store operations, drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and lead a team to achieve business goals. The SMIT will gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills necessary for the role of a Store Manager. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Learn and apply strategies to drive sales and increase profitability. Support the Store Manager in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring product availability. Participate in training programs to develop skills in customer service, merchandising, and team leadership. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries and issues. Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff to enhance team performance. Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and execute promotional strategies. Maintain a clean and organized store environment to enhance the shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations effectively. Experience in training and developing staff to enhance team performance and customer service. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving business objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and management.
