Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with energy and utility companies across the value chain in technical, strategic, business, or technology-focused roles.
  • Support engagements related to strategy, business development, programme management, business architecture, investment planning, economic valuation, and energy market design.
  • Analyse complex information and convert it into practical, decision-ready insights.
  • Manage projects, stakeholders, and multiple priorities in dynamic consulting environments.
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and influence executive-level decision-making.
  • Stay updated on utility transformation, emerging energy technologies, and market changes.
Utility Strategy, Vision & Communication
  • Lead and support strategic consulting assignments focused on digital transformation, innovation adoption, and business strategy execution for utilities.
  • Work with senior client leaders to define vision, strategic goals, delivery plans, and operating models.
  • Assess changing energy system requirements and build business cases for resilient, future-ready utility models.
  • Research utility innovation, market trends, AI applications, data-led decision-making, and grid modernisation.
  • Convert strategy into execution roadmaps, transformation plans, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, reports, and communications for regulators, customers, vendors, developers, and other stakeholders.
Energy Solution Implementation & Delivery
  • Set up and manage transformation programmes covering scope, cost, schedule, resources, people, processes, technology, and data.
  • Identify service delivery improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Lead workstream planning, design, and delivery for energy technology and business solutions.
  • Identify and resolve risks or issues affecting scope, cost, quality, timelines, and resources.
  • Prepare project updates, stakeholder communications, delivery plans, and quality assurance processes.
Utility Technical, Business & Operations
  • Develop and deliver energy system planning projects and technical solution architecture.
  • Analyse and prioritise technology and product portfolios.
  • Conduct power flow, cost-benefit, modelling, network modelling, and market programme design activities.
  • Work with systems such as ADMS, DERMS, MMS, joint transmission-distribution operations, energy flexibility solutions, and distribution automation.
  • Perform grid studies including short circuit analysis, hosting capacity, feeder load management, and time-series power flow using platforms from Siemens, Schneider, GE, Oracle, OSI, Hitachi, and similar providers.
Data & Advanced Analytics
  • Extract, process, cleanse, migrate, and analyse grid models, metering data, energy pricing, weather data, and other utility datasets.
  • Support systems implementation projects through data preparation, validation, migration, and quality enhancement.
  • Model and forecast future energy scenarios using client data, industry forecasts, and benchmark models.
  • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI techniques to generate deeper insights.
  • Report progress on large-scale data initiatives and define data quality metrics aligned with utility data strategies.
Energy Transition Service Line Operations
  • Develop go-to-market materials, case studies, and client-facing presentations for Energy Transition services.
  • Prepare customised proposals for global power and utility clients, aligning scope, cost, schedule, and resources with client objectives.
  • Evaluate pursuit opportunities based on financial, contractual, legal, cultural, and resourcing factors.
  • Create thought leadership content and represent the practice at industry events on energy transition topics.
