Job description

Summary
 
Our client is a well-established and highly respected electrical contracting firm based in Southern California (Santa Clarita, CA), specializing in commercial and industrial projects. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical solutions, they are known for their commitment to safety, precision, and on-time project execution. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure full project understanding and compliance
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress updates, and closeout discussions
  • Monitor project costs, track changes, and manage change orders effectively
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company standards, and client requirements
  • Procure materials and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency
  • Oversee field personnel and collaborate closely with Superintendents/Foremen
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to leadership
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial or industrial electrical contracting
  • Proven experience managing ground-up and/or tenant improvement electrical projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and scheduling principles
  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
