Restaurant Assistant Manager / Catering Manager

Wharf Casual Seafood is Expanding

Wharf Casual Seafood is expanding across Central Alabama, and we’re looking for an experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager / Catering Manager to join our growing team.

We are hiring in the Montgomery, Clanton, Millbrook, and Wetumpka areas.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced restaurant or food service leader who enjoys leading teams, developing employees, delivering excellent customer experiences, and helping a growing operation succeed.

Pay: $40,000 to $45,000 per year
Sign On Bonus: $4,000, paid after 3 and 6 months

Responsibilities

• Lead and support restaurant employees while maintaining a positive team environment
• Hire, train, coach, and develop team members
• Address performance issues through coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution
• Prepare and manage employee schedules
• Work alongside the restaurant team during shifts
• Support catering and food service operations
• Manage vendor contracts and invoices
• Anticipate kitchenware and equipment needs and place orders
• Maintain accurate records of costs and revenues
• Help achieve restaurant sales and financial objectives
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and workplace standards are consistently followed
• Deliver exceptional and memorable customer experiences

Qualifications

At least 1 year of management or team lead experience in a restaurant or food service environment
• Previous experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager, Catering Manager, Restaurant Manager, Kitchen Manager, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Supervisor, or Team Lead
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to hire, train, coach, and motivate employees
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Reliable and dependable work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
