Job description

Position Description: Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing cash flow, sales tax reporting and general ledger integrity for a family owned, multi-company organization located in multiple states. It is an exciting role that will support in house accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Financial Reporting.

A strong financial background is critical to being successful in this role as are communication and team building skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the functions listed below.

Key Functions of Department

General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Tax Reporting.
Cash Management including Daily Cash Position Reporting
Provide Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Produce Monthly Financials
Work with audit team to review year end financials
Sales and Use Tax Reporting
Property Tax ReportingUnderstanding of Fixed Assets

Skills Required

• Strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills

• Strong Financial Accounting knowledge including working knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers

• Proficient in Microsoft suite of tools• Ability to build and workflow new processes

Education Required

• Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting
• 2 - 5 years accounting experience preferred
• CPA is a plus
