Ideal Candidate would have:
  • Bachelor degree plus 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of experience supervising/managing exempt level employees
  • SAP preferred but would consider ERP
  • Heavy General Ledger, multi-entity and state
  • Managing 4 accountants
  • Oversee Accounts Payable & Payroll
 
Overview

Manage accounting support staff and ensure that all accounting activities are completed accurately in accordance with established accounting principles to meet scheduled deadlines. This role will train accounting personnel to ensure the appropriate application of accounting principles, personnel policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Direct and participate in all activities related to General Ledger Accounting, Payroll and Accounts Payable
  • Manage the activities of General Ledger Accounts to ensure the maintenance of General Ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements
  • Manage the activities of the Payroll Clerk to ensure the preparation and collection of semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll data
  • Manage the activities of the Account Payable Clerk to ensure the accurate and timely payment of invoices, reimbursements and maintenance of information for monthly financial statements
  • Performs special accounting analyses and prepares special reports as required
  • Prepare renewal licenses applications and property tax returns for all branches
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
