Job description

Overview
The Hospitality accounting manager manages accounting and administration for the resort's non-gaming operations, including Hotel, Food & Beverage, and Corporate Administration. Key responsibilities include accounts payable, payroll accounting, intercompany activity, bank reconciliations, and internal controls. This role partners with the Casino Accounting Manager to support an accurate and timely consolidated close.
Responsibilities
  • Manage non-gaming accounts payable, including vendors, invoices, approvals, payments, exceptions, and statement reconciliations.
  • Oversee three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving records, and invoices using Agilysys Stratton Warren MMS.
  • Maintain the non-gaming general ledger in Oracle ERP, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reclassifications.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
  • Support multi-shift payroll accounting, including tips, taxes, benefits, labor allocations, accruals, funding, and clearing accounts.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany entries, balances, allocations, and settlements.
  • Monitor non-gaming cash flow, payment timing, and treasury activity.
  • Lead the close for Hotel, Food & Beverage, and Corporate Administration.
  • Prepare balance-sheet reconciliations, account analyses, cost reports, and variance explanations.
  • Work with operating departments to resolve accounting and documentation issues.
  • Maintain clear support for journal entries, reconciliations, close schedules, and audits.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises assigned accounting and administrative staff, including training, work review, and deadline management.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP is required; familiarity with LMS and Aloha POS is helpful.
  • Experience with Agilysys Stratton Warren MMS is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare bank reconciliations and resolve differences independently.
  • Knowledge of hospitality payroll, tips, taxes, labor allocations, accruals, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of intercompany entries, reconciliations, and allocations.
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and accrual accounting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Strong organization, judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with accounting and operating departments.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Four or more years of accounting experience in a hotel, resort, or casino-hospitality environment.
  • Experience with accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close.
