We are currently recruiting a Operator/Labourer to assist our Construction division with fast-paced, challenging general contracting projects (multi-storey, mixed-use, commercial and institutional) that are shaping the Edmonton Skyline!  The Operator/Labourer will report to the Site Superintendent.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operate construction equipment including skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts, loaders, compactors, and other equipment as required.
  • Perform site preparation activities, including excavation support, grading, material distribution, and site cleanup.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with the installation and removal of temporary site infrastructure, including fencing, hoarding, signage, and protection systems.
  • Support carpenters, concrete crews, equipment operators, and other trades as required.
  • Perform demolition, cleanup, and waste management activities.
  • Assist with earthworks, landscaping, and exterior site development activities.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records related to equipment operation, inspections, and maintenance.
  • Follow construction drawings, site plans, and supervisor instructions.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and participate in site safety initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, or multi-family construction considered an asset
  • Experience operating construction equipment in a commercial construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work on uneven terrain.
