Job description

General Labor Racker – 2nd Shift

Pries Enterprises is looking for a General Labor Racker to join our growing team! No previous experience is required—we provide on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement.

Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Monday–Friday

  • Every other Saturday as needed based on production

Starting Pay:

  • Up to $19.00 per hour

Position Summary

The General Labor Racker plays a key role in our anodizing operation by preparing, inspecting, and securing aluminum products for processing. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive work instructions and production orders from the Team Leader.

  • Gather and organize materials needed for production, including racks, wood, spacers, clamps, and other tools.

  • Inspect aluminum products for defects such as scratches, dents, bends, bowing, and flatness issues.

  • Report any quality concerns or product defects to the Team Leader.

  • Rack and stack aluminum products according to customer specifications and production requirements to prevent damage and ensure quality.

  • Identify and report discrepancies in production specifications.

  • Change out canes using hand tools and securely attach them to load bars.

  • Properly clamp aluminum products to canes using the correct hardware for each order.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Report unsafe conditions or activities to the Team Leader or Safety Department.

  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to step into and out of a 13-inch pit.

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and position materials above shoulder height from 50-75lbs.

  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
