Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility as a General Laborer. You will play a crucial role in supporting machine operations and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Aid and assist machine operators in bringing materials to the equipment and operators.
• Clean the work area and move product to the baler, garbage, etc.
• Maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform minor janitorial tasks such as sweeping floors and taking out the garbage.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of machine operating or fast-paced general labor experience.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler, and use basic shop math.
• Capability to work in a high-speed packaging environment, package, and label.
• Work with a sense of urgency without compromising attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Drive for results and a strong work ethic.
• Experience with operating a forklift is a plus.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Safety is a priority, requiring steel toes, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection. Be prepared for warmer temperatures during summer months and to be on your feet in this spacious facility. The schedule includes both 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities with overtime, and future shifts planned for expansion!

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
