Job Title: General Laborer โ€“ Burn Table
Department: Manufacturing
Location: Pelham Shop
Reports To: Shop Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
The General Laborer โ€“ Burn Table supports fabrication operations by assisting with the setup and operation of burn table equipment (plasma and oxy-fuel). This role helps ensure safe, efficient production through material handling, part organization, and general shop support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in operating plasma and oxy-fuel burn table equipment
Load and unload steel plates and materials
Sort, label, and move finished parts to designated areas
Support operators with machine setup and shutdown
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Identify and report equipment or maintenance needs
Follow production schedules and supervisor direction
Minimize material waste and handle materials efficiently
Operate forklift and overhead crane (if trained)
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures


Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous manufacturing or labor experience preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions
Willingness to learn equipment and processes
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
