Glass Shop General Laborer / Entry-Level Glazing Career

Start a Career in the Glass & Glazing Trade

United Glass, Inc. is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Glass Shop General Laborer.

This is more than just a general labor position. For the right person, this can be an opportunity to learn a skilled trade, advance within our company, and potentially enter an apprenticeship leading to Journeyman status.

No previous glass experience is required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building a long-term career in the trades.

What You'll Do

  • Safely handle, move, and organize glass and glazing materials
  • Prepare and stage glass, aluminum, hardware, and other materials for upcoming jobs
  • Load company trucks with glass, tools, and materials needed for jobsites
  • Help ensure job materials are organized, secured, and ready for our field crews
  • Unload incoming glass and material deliveries
  • Drive company trucks to deliver glass, materials, tools, and supplies to jobsites as needed
  • Assist with glass and aluminum fabrication and other shop production
  • Learn to operate shop tools and equipment with proper training
  • Assist experienced glass professionals and learn more about the glazing trade
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and loading area
  • Follow all company and industry safety procedures
  • Perform other shop, warehouse, and material-handling duties as needed
