Job description

WC Smith has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpenter Laborer to join our Property Services Division. This role is responsible for supporting carpenters with renovation, repair, and construction projects throughout the WC Smith portfolio. The Carpenter Laborer plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while assisting with material handling, deliveries, and general carpentry related tasks.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Laborer Will:

• Assist carpenters with renovation, repair, and construction projects throughout the WC Smith portfolio.
• Support drywall installation and repair, framing, flooring installation, and other carpentry related work.
• Follow direction from carpenters and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Drive company vehicles to deliver materials and supplies to job sites throughout the portfolio.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Assist with snow removal efforts, including shoveling sidewalks and delivering ice melt to properties during inclement weather.
• Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team to complete assigned projects.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

A Leading Applicant Has:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of carpentry, construction, maintenance, or related hands-on experience.
• Experience with drywall, framing, flooring, or general carpentry projects preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license required.
