GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The General Intern provides operational support to technical teams by performing cleaning, facilities maintenance support, coordination, and documentation tasks across various facility locations.

Designed for students and early-career professionals, this internship offers comprehensive exposure to facilities management and technical operations. This hands-on role provides valuable experience in facility operations, cross-functional collaboration, and administrative support within a professional setting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Support the facilities and technical teams in the following ways:

Assist in the following areas:

1. Cleaning & Environmental Management

  • Execute cleaning protocols and schedules for designated facility areas
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Monitor and replenish supplies in common areas and workspaces

2. Facilities Support & Maintenance

  • Provide general facilities support including routine inspections, minor repairs coordination, and space management assistance
  • Assist in maintaining clean, safe, and organized work environments across multiple facility locations
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and document completion status

3. Documentation & Record-Keeping

  • Prepare, maintain, and update documentation for facility activities and processes
  • Generate reports on completed tasks, ongoing projects, and compliance metrics
  • Maintain accurate filing systems (digital and physical) for facility records

4. Kitting & Technical Process Support

  • Assemble kits and materials for technical projects across multiple environments
  • Support execution processes by preparing workspaces and organizing necessary tools/equipment
  • Assist technical teams with setup, breakdown, and inventory management

5. Compliance & Requirements Assessment

  • Support assessment of facility needs and requirements
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Participate in audits and inspections as directed

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with multiple managers and technical teams to understand and fulfill departmental needs
  • Provide general administrative and operational support as requested
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives

7. Other Duties as Required

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support emergency or urgent facility needs
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed
