Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Generator Installation Technician to join our growing field service team. In this role, you will handle the installation, routine maintenance, and service of residential and commercial standby generator systems. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment issues to ensure our clients have reliable backup power when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install residential and commercial standby generator systems and related control systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical generator failures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, system testing, and oil/filter changes.
  • Ensure all field installations comply with local safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate digital service records, work orders, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and professionally.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience installing, servicing, or repairing standby generator systems.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and technical diagnostic skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions (indoors/outdoors), climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus but not required)

  • Generac Generator manufacturer certifications.
  • EPA certifications or formal electrical wiring licensing.
