The Power Sales Representative is responsible for driving residential generator sales through

lead follow-up, in-home consultations, and customer relationship management. This role

involves assessing customer needs, presenting appropriate standby power solutions, and guiding

homeowners through the purchase process. This position requires effective communication

skills, the ability to close sales in a consultative environment, and a strong desire to succeed.

Essential Functions

  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Meet with homeowners to present and sell company products and services.
  • Educate customers on product features, pricing, financing options, and availability.
  • Prepare and submit sales quotes and contracts accurately and promptly.
  • Obtain deposits and process customer payments.
  • Generate referrals from each sales presentation.
  • Stay informed about company and vendor promotions, financing programs, and industry trends.
  • Track and meet individual weekly and monthly sales goals.
  • Participate in all sales meetings and ongoing training sessions.
  • Assist sales management in training new Power Sales Representatives through ridealongs and other means.
  • Regularly communicate with internal teams, including permitting, installation, customer service, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Offer uncompromising service by taking ownership of any customer concerns through the entire process.
  • Support the Power Sales Team with other duties as assigned by Power Sales Management.

 

Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience is required; home services industry
  • experience highly preferred.

 

 

Other Skills, Abilities, and/or Training

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and how to deliver a tailored solution.
  • Confidence in negotiating and closing deals.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, close deals, and be proactive in generating new business.
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems and experience with sales tracking and reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
