The Position

At Roche, over 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare. Working together, we've become one of the world's leading research-focused healthcare groups. Our success is built on innovation, curiosity, and diversity. As a global leader in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, Roche is committed to advancing science to improve people's lives. We offer an inclusive, flexible, and supportive environment where you can learn, grow, and build a meaningful career while helping deliver life-saving treatments to patients worldwide.

The Clinical Demand & Supply Planning team within the Clinical Supply (PTDS) network ensures reliable, consistent, and cost-effective drug supply for Roche/Genentech's global portfolio of roughly 500 Phase I-IV studies spanning diverse therapeutic areas, modalities, and R&D partners (gRED, pRED, PD, PDMA, USMA). Its scope encompasses clinical manufacturing network planning, asset and study planning, comparator and collaboration drug management, and core planning systems and processes. To achieve this, the team maintains strong cross-functional collaboration with internal key stakeholders-such as Technical Development, Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Procurement-as well as external vendors.

The Oppurtunity:

As a key leader in the Pharma Technical Development Supply (PTDS) organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the dependable delivery of clinical trial supplies across Roche/Genentech's global portfolio.

  • Provide comprehensive portfolio oversight in partnership with the clinical supply planning leadership team to guarantee efficient and reliable supply across all global clinical trials.

  • Formulate, prioritize, and drive strategic initiatives as an active member of the extended PTDS leadership team, representing the organization across cross-functional network efforts.

  • Effectively manage resources and capacity for the global clinical trial supply portfolio to optimize operational output and support network goals.

  • Drive process standardization, optimization, and industry best practices to enhance a global supply chain spanning approximately 500 clinical studies and CHF 600 Million in inventory.

  • Own and evolve Study Planning business capabilities, driving continuous improvement, capability expansion, and breakthrough innovations by benchmarking against industry standards.

  • Champion strategic stakeholder relationships and key account management with senior leaders across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Operations.

  • Serve as the PTDS Mississauga Site Head, cultivating an inclusive, fair, and respectful culture while developing team members through coaching, mentorship, and VACC leadership principles.

Who You Are

You are an accomplished, visionary supply chain leader who thrives in a complex, global environment and is passionate about driving strategy, optimizing processes, and empowering teams.

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree (BA, MS, MBA) in a technical, business, or supply chain field along with 10-12 years of senior leadership experience in a global, regulated pharmaceutical environment spanning Supply Chain, Planning, or Manufacturing

  • You bring extensive expertise in clinical supply chain operations, clinical trial design, drug technical development, and drug demand forecasting.

  • You possess strong cross-functional knowledge across drug development modalities, including manufacturing, quality, regulatory, finance, and clinical operations.

  • You are an exceptional leader with demonstrated VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) competencies and a proven track record of inspiring empowered, multicultural teams.

  • You demonstrate superior communication and presentation skills, with a distinct talent for simplifying complex supply chain issues for executive-level stakeholders.

  • You are skilled at mitigating high-risk inventory situations, serving as a trusted consultant to resolve critical stockout risks and maintain supply continuity.
