Job description

2028 Capital Markets Advisory: Equity Capital Markets Summer Analyst Program - New York

Evercore seeks to hire an investment banking Summer Analyst for the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in the New York, NY office.

The Evercore Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates with a representative experience in strategic capital markets advisory. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and learn on the job.

What Are We Looking For?

Evercore's Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is built around best-in-class strategic capital markets advisors with deep industry expertise and long-standing client relationships. Our lean deal teams mean junior bankers get immediate responsibility, constant senior exposure, and a front-row seat to high-impact decision-making.

The platform is led by Kristy Grippi - former Head of Industrials ECM and Equity Syndicate at Goldman Sachs - and is supported by Senior Managing Directors and Managing Directors who have run origination, advisory, and syndicate teams at the world's leading banks.

We're looking for driven, intellectually curious self-starters with a strong interest in capital markets. Ideal candidates are excited to work across products and complex equity-related situations, and eager to develop a differentiated advisory toolkit in a fast-moving market environment.

What Will You Be Working On?

Junior bankers gain exposure to a wide range of equity and equity-linked transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, private placements, and convertible offerings. In addition, the team plays a key role in advisory assignments involving M&A-related equity considerations, dual-track processes, spin-offs, SPAC transactions, and merger financing/structuring.

Evercore has advised on and served as bookrunner for several notable U.S. transactions, including:

  • IPOs: Quantinuum, Lincoln International, Lime, Karman
  • Follow-ons: Diamondback Energy, GE Healthcare, Mineralys, GlobalFoundries
  • Convertibles: Silicon Motion, Lumentum, Hims & Hers, KKR

This work provides junior bankers with exposure to complex, high-profile situations and a diverse set of capital markets dynamics.

What Are the Specific Qualifications?

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029
  • All majors encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic coursework and leadership on campus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in equity market trends and dynamics
  • Superb communications skills, both written and oral
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing and achievement-oriented character with a great work ethic

Application Instructions for Students:

  • Applications open September 9, 2026, and close November 15, 2026
  • You may submit your application at any time during the application window. Applications will not be reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Students may submit a maximum of two applications
  • Please take the time to review our different programs and apply only to the two opportunities that interest you most.
