GEA Food Solutions North America Inc. is a worldwide leader in providing preparation, processing, and packaging total solutions for both the food and non-food industry sectors. Candidates MUST have previous experience working on industrial food slicing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.

  • Provides technical support to customers including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.

  • Provides training of customers' operators and maintenance personnel.

  • Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on technical experience on electro-mechanical systems as applied to state-of-the-art industrial machinery.

  • Slicing equipment experience REQUIRED

  • Strong electrical aptitude, including motors, AC & servo drives, electrical circuitry, PLC and PC based control systems.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude including power transmission systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.

  • Excellent communications skills - must be proficient in English, have strong listening skills and enjoy working with people.

  • Able to multi-task and work under extreme pressure

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Excellent computer literacy including knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

  • Able to travel extensively (up to 90%) including weekends and on short notice.

  • Some travel may be for extended periods (up to 3 weeks).

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $37.00 - $46.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
