GE Aerospace US Manufacturing Engineering Development Program (MEDP) โ€“ 2025

Job location: Huntsville, AL.

Manufacturing technology is at the core of GE Aerospace's competitive advantage. The Manufacturing Engineering Development Program (MEDP) is a 2โ€‘year program that provides you with a structured path to build technical depth in these technologies through extensive handsโ€‘on experience, targeted training, leadership development, and mentorship.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide daily handsโ€‘on support to shop floor personnel to help facilitate problemโ€‘solving and process improvements related to production or development labs.
  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills and interpret blueprints to facilitate component manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize various design and analytical software to support and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Advance and develop manufacturing planning, processes and work instructions.
  • Work with crossโ€‘functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to improve product quality, increase throughput, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Collect and analyze data from manufacturing processes to drive shortโ€‘ and longโ€‘term actions that support production.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to identify waste and support decisionโ€‘making processes.
  • Manage project plans related to manufacturing changes and collaborate with various functions to drive action and project closure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college, or an associate degree in Engineering or a technology discipline with at least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturingโ€‘related role.

Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
