Job Description Summary

The Senior Commercial Counsel provides legal advice and support to business leaders across the Supply Chain organization of GE Vernovaโ€™s Power segment. We are looking for a business-minded attorney who works well with all levels of the organization and has a strong track record of advising clients on complex commercial agreements and strategy. You will work with other legal groups and cross-functional business teams to develop strategy, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of Supply Chain related agreements, support disputes and claims, develop and implement training, improve processes, and provide risk assessment and compliance support.

  • Providing legal analysis and support for supply chain, procurement, logistics and customs transactions, including structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex domestic and international purchase contracts and software licenses
  • Advising on contract interpretation, claims, and disputes
  • Using Lean thinking to streamline processes and reduce cycle time, including developing standard templates and policies
  • Identifying and advising on regional, portfolio, and transactional risks and how to mitigate them
  • Leading projects that support business and supply chain initiatives
  • Providing advice and counsel on antitrust/competition law, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, environmental and customs issues, and other regulations and compliance matters
  • Developing and delivering training on legal, contract, and compliance matters
  • Staying current on legal developments affecting supply chain activities
  • Communicating across all levels of the organization and working cross-functionally to drive business priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve legal issues quickly and effectively and make on-the-spot risk calls

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $176,300.00 and $293,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidateโ€™s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
