Job description

Field Service Technician

Direct hire opening with client for a Field Service Technician. Must be open to domestic travel to customer sites up to 80% of the time. Prior experience with polyurethane machine repair is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting of control components (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley)
  • Repair or replace machine components
  • Installation and commissioning of new customer machines
  • Provide remote support for customers
  • Work with customers to address technical questions, service and parts.
  • Work on internal projects such as machine rebuilds and laboratory trials
  • Work with engineers to develop machine corrections and repairs as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in technical discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience with capital equipment installation, startup, and service is preferred
  • Experience with polyurethane machine repair
  • Understanding of Hydraulics and machine controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Domestic travel up to 80% to customer sites
