Job description

Summary: The medical practice resource supports the day to day clinical and administrative workflow within the medical practice.  This role will support the daily provider productivity goals along with supporting quality metrics and customer service measures.  This position acts as a liaison between providers, support staff and management transcribing during visits, huddles, bridging gaps, leading implementations, effectively communicating and assessing opportunities in an effort to ensure department’s continued growth and profitability.  The medical practice resource will work with the practice to ensure that CCHP services are aligned with the entity’s policies, processes and standard operation procedures.

Education:     High School Diploma or equivalent required

Licensure: Medical Assistant Certification a plus.

Experience: Two to Four years of relevant work experience in a medical/physician’s office preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer.
  • Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to organize and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
  • Knowledge working with Athena EHR, Meditech, and GE Centricity preferred

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: General pleasant working environment with little or no distractions or exposure to unpleasant or hazardous elements.  Meets all safety training requirements associated with organization.  Duties are a combination of extensive mental and manual skills.  Manual skills are required such as finger, eye and hand dexterity for such activities as utilization of a computer.  May sit at desk much of the day.
