Role Summary: As a Second Shift Production Supervisor, you will lead daily operations at our advanced technology engine services overhaul facility, where commercial and military jet engines are restored to peak performance. You will oversee production and service shop activities, coordinate daily work, drive operational execution, and lead teams to achieve goals for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about team performance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Site Overview: Located in Arkansas, our advanced technology engine services overhaul facility is a critical part of GE Aerospace's mission to power the future of flight. The site performs highly specialized processes including plasma, frame and wire spraying, polyurethane and sermetel painting, heat treating, brazing, and TIG welding, along with comprehensive engine repair, overhaul, evaluation, and FEDEC-capable testing. Employees work alongside experienced teams in a technically advanced environment that values collaboration, respect, continuous improvement, and career growth.
Job Description
Second Shift - Role Overview
As a second-shift Production Supervisor, you will oversee and manage front-line manufacturing employees to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. This on-site role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence and delivering high-quality results. You will use your technical expertise and leadership skills to execute policies, mentor team members, and contribute to the success of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage front-line manufacturing employees to ensure production goals are met.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and apply that expertise to execute policies and strategies.
  • Analyze and resolve problems quickly using prior experience and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and contribute to broader business goals.
  • Provide mentorship and informal guidance to new team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set expectations, and support employee growth.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment; or
  • High school diploma / GED and a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work second shift and support an overtime rotation, including one weekend per month.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong interpersonal skills and technical expertise.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while consistently meeting deadlines and production schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven project management skills, including planning, documentation, communication, and execution of programs.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams in complex and dynamic situations.
