Senior AI Product Manager, Data Platform & Ontologies | Growth & Transformation

Red Ventures

Charlotte, NC • On-site

Full-time

Job description

This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on H1-B, F-1, OPT, STEM-OPT, or TN visa, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp.
This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC office (Tuesday through Thursday) and optional remote days on Mondays and Fridays each week.
Our Growth and Transformation team (RVGT) is looking for a Senior AI Product Manager to own Data Platform & Ontologies - the data and context layer of Kamino, RVGT's unified, governed agentic platform that every RV business builds production AI workflows on. RVGT is Red Ventures' client division, delivering growth and transformative solutions across customer acquisition, conversion, transactions, and relationship deepening. We partner with some of the largest brands across financial services, home services, and higher education - helping consumers get connected with products and services that are right for them on behalf of our clients.
In this role, you'll own Proteus, the ontology, retrieval, and entity-resolution layer that determines whether an agent starts with the right business context or a blank prompt and Data Ingestion, the pipelines, connectors, and contracts that get partner and internal data into Proteus reliably and safely. You'll also own the data-platform components of Red Platform, RV's data and test-optimization platform, with scope ramping as the core surfaces stabilize.
We work with some of the largest brands in the world, and they trust us with their data - partner-data isolation, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop gating are designed in from the start, not bolted on after. Above any specific line on a résumé, we're hiring for relentless curiosity and deep ownership: someone who is pulled toward the parts of the system they don't yet understand, teaches themselves what they need, and treats Data Platform & Ontologies as theirs to make great.
Curious how Growth and Transformation fits into Red Ventures? Click here.
The Impact You'll Make
  • Own the Data & Context Layer: Drive ontology, retrieval, and entity-resolution quality so every agent built on Kamino starts with the right business context, with retrieval precision and recall gated in CI the way a test suite gates code.
  • Architect Reliable, Governed Ingestion: Design the pipelines, connectors, and data contracts - schema, freshness, lineage, and quality SLAs - that get partner and internal data into Proteus safely and within SOC2, PII, and GLBA constraints. You'll create the vision and system design and work with the team to implement it.
  • Close the Data Flywheel: Make agent corrections and human overrides demonstrably improve next-run retrieval, reading the data yourself every week and turning what you see into the next set of bets.
  • Extend Impact to Red Platform: Go deep on Red Platform's data and contract surfaces and act as a systems-thinking partner to the Red Platform EM as the two platforms converge into one.
  • Mentor & Influence: Manage and develop junior AI Product Managers while serving as the day-to-day lead on a strategic, high-visibility initiative for senior stakeholders across the organization.

What We're Looking For
  • Retrieval & Data Product Depth: 6+ years as a data-product or ML-product PM, having shipped a retrieval, RAG, search, or knowledge-graph product at scale, fluent in ontology design and retrieval evaluation (precision/recall, MRR, faithfulness).
  • Ingestion & Pipeline Experience: You've owned or worked closely on data ingestion - schemas, contracts, lineage, freshness, and data quality - alongside data engineering or data science as a peer, not over it.
  • Governance Literacy: You reason fluently about HITL gating, identity propagation, audit trails, partner-data isolation, and SOC2 controls, and treat governance as architecture rather than a checklist.
  • Curiosity & Ownership: You ask "why" and "how" more than "what," chase down ambiguous edges yourself, and take problems all the way to resolution rather than handing them back half-solved.
  • Execution Mindset: You'd rather prototype and measure than write a spec and hand it off. You measure everything and use the feedback loop to optimize your product offering.

Cross-Functional Literacy: You're able to earn the trust of and coordinate amongst engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and business counterparts.
  • Bonus Points: Background in semantic search, knowledge graphs, or vector databases; experience building a labeled-data feedback flywheel; FinServ data-handling experience (PII, GLBA); or a background as a software engineer, data scientist, or data engineer before moving into product.

Compensation:
Total Cash Compensation Range: $155,000-$220,000
This role is also eligible for Equity, which is offered separately from the total cash compensation listed above. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.
  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Paid Time Off
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program
