Description

Assists with the daily set up of production beds and forms to produce high quality, finished products. Assists in the production of precast products and forms by performing assigned duties.


Essential Functions:

  • Must have the ability to read and understand shop drawings.
  • Assists in the set-up, stripping, and changeover of precast production beds and base forms for different products as required.
  • Set end gates, block-out plates, reveals, dovetail, and false walls. Remove screws from end gates, block-outs, etc.
  • Install rebar and wire, insulation, lifters, and pick holes.
  • Layout and install rebar. Set and tie rebar.
  • Caulk the formwork when needed.
  • Assist in concrete pouring, screening, oiling, and spraying retardant. Assist in patching finished concrete products, as necessary.
  • Use the vibrator to vibrate concrete.
  • Assist in cleaning procedures for all production beds and forms.
  • Assist in inventory procedures when necessary.
  • Limited ability to work on various production lines 
  • Operate battery-powered and other small hand tools.
  • With proper training, operate overhead crane when necessary.
  • Operate core machine and construct flow channels.
  • Assist in the layout of dunnage on trailers for placement of finished products for shipping.
  • Maintains clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.
  • Must work within the attendance policy guidelines.
  • Ability to certify on forklift operation, previous experience preferred

Requirements

  • High Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Carpentry and/or concrete finishing experience; 1+ years' experience in a precast environment, a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while following safety procedures
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force.
