Flex-N-Gate Training Requirements
  • Minimum Education - H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Close attention to detail required.
  • One or more years' experience in the Automotive Industry.
  • Basic math, reading, comprehension and computer skills.
  • Good attendance.

Job Duties
  • Perform required quality checks on parts and record on appropriate inspection sheets
  • File all completed quality records in designated storage areas
  • Perform incoming and outgoing dock inspections / audits
  • Identify nonconforming material; sort and rework if required
  • 5S responsibilities include marking floor, hanging signs, and being involved with activities.
  • Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 requirements
  • Actively participate in the quality process and incorporate zero defects standard in all work
  • Work within a team environment

Requirements
  • Strong basic mathematical skills
  • Computer literate; ability to use software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to use proper tools and protective equipment to perform destruct tests
  • Ability to efficiently use basic hand measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, torque wrenches and scales.
  • Previous experience and/or education with an emphasis on quality is considered an asset
  • Good attendance
  • Acceptable score on Quality Skills test
  • History of good quality practice

Working Conditions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%-100% of the time
  • Must be able to move and traverse throughout their work area and the plant to get to needed areas for production
  • Constantly operates machinery using hands, wrists and fingers to handle and feel
  • Position self to move where needed
  • Position requires being able to hear sounds around them in a loud environment
  • Must have vision to see short and long distances, adjusting when needed
  • Frequently moves automotive parts equipment and parts weighing up to 35lbs across areas within the plant when needed
