POSITION SUMMARY
Villatel Resort Orlando is hiring exceptional hospitality minded individuals to serve as our Welcome Gate Ambassadors. These individiuals serve as the first point of contact for every guest, vendor, and visitor arriving at Villatel Resort Orlando. This role is essential to the safety and security of our property, ensuring that only registered guests, emergency vehicles, vendors, and employees are granted access while providing a warm, professional welcome that sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. Your role will involve engaging with guests and vendors at the gate, collaborating with dispatch, security, and Guest Experience teams, and maintaining accurate records of all traffic entering the resort. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet all arriving guests, vendors, and visitors at the welcome gate in a warm, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Collect and verify pertinent guest information, including reservation and identification details, to confirm registered status before granting property access.
  • Provide clear instructions, directions, and property navigation guidance to guests, vendors, and visitors upon arrival.
  • Control and monitor gate access, ensuring only registered guests, emergency vehicles, vendors, employees, and other authorized personnel are permitted onto the property.
  • Communicate and coordinate with dispatch, security, and Guest Experience teams to relay arrival information, flag concerns, and ensure a seamless and secure check-in process.
  • Address guest and vendor inquiries at the gate promptly and courteously, providing information about resort amenities, parking, and check-in procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle and visitor traffic, including arrival times and purpose of visit, in accordance with resort security procedures.
  • Remain alert and observant for unusual or unauthorized activity at the property entrance, promptly notifying appropriate personnel or authorities as needed.
  • Ensure the welcome gate area is clean, organized, and reflective of Villatel's brand standards at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in guest services, security, gate attendant, or a related hospitality role preferred.
  • Full availability and ability to work weekends is required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment to accurately verify guest and visitor information.
  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional when addressing access issues or unexpected situations.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the operational needs of the resort.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
